When going camping, it is important to always prepare a checklist of things to bring. Bringing the right
camping gear and equipment will save you a lot of headaches. So what are the essential items you
need?

(1) First and foremost is a tent. Camping will never be camping without a tent. When buying a tent,
consider the size of the campsite, otherwise, you may bring one that is too big. Also consider the
number of people who will be using the tent. Along with your tent, it is important that you bring a
ground cloth or cover to protect your tent from abrasion and moisture.

(2) Next is a sleeping bag or sleeping mat. Sleeping mats are advisable when camping in humid weather.

(3) Stoves and cookware is also a must because campfires do not normally cook your food the right way.

(4) Other essentials are lanterns, mallet, a small hatchet, clothes line and pins, cooler and water
container.
